Aurum Urens, “The Ardent Gold” is the latest work by Michele Ardu, guiding the viewer into a contemplation of the preciousness and fragility of nature. It delves into the universality of the global wildfire drama, thanks to the power of art.
The project comprises a collection of golden sculptures crafted from the wood collected from different wildfire locations. In the exhibition, these sculptures are often surrounded by striking photographic images of the scarred landscape.
“After centuries of living in the same acres of land, these woods head now to museums around the world and new homes. They continue to exist in this new form, dedicated to protecting other living forests and our planet by conveying the preciousness and fragility of Nature.”

The patronage of institutions, art galleries, and collectors around the world is a vital pillar in the vision and realization of AURUM URENS. This is not merely about curating a local, standalone exhibition, but about composing a symphony of global resonance—one that sparks dialogue, fosters awareness, and guides our shared consciousness toward a more sustainable and harmonious relationship with our precious planet.
